Members of the East Harlem Community that drop off their kitchen scraps at Carver Community Garden will get to witness how the food scraps they give away enriches the soil, and enhances the quality of the produce they receive in return. Do you want to be a part of a project that shows its community the full cycle of composting? If so, come volunteer with us!

Help Carver Community Garden with chopping, mixing, and maintaining the garden's three bin, and tumbling composting systems. Learn about vermicoposting. Sift compost, and add it to the garden's community plots. Help with the overall maintenance of the garden's community plot.

This event is for individuals over 18.
