Join Big Reuse in Partnership with the Department of Sanitation to fill 1 lb compost bags for Curbside Composting community outreach events!
Volunteers will bag compost from NYC Compost Project hosted by Big Reuse's Salt Lot site alongside the Curbside Composting Outreach team; shovels and gloves will be provided.
This location is outdoors, so volunteers should dress for the weather, wear close-toed shoes, and bring snacks and water.
The outreach team will be giving out these 1 lb bags of compost to the community at upcoming Queens events along with information about the Curbside Composting program.
Please note that we are asking volunteers to show proof of vaccination and to wear a mask.
