Master Composter trainees will help beautify the outer perimeter of the Rockaway Avenue Community Compost Site, giving some much needed TLC to street tree beds on the block. Trainees will amend the street tree bed soil by clearing litter, aerating soil, and applying locally-produced compost. Trainees will also help with planting perennials and distributing free compost to community groups.

Event led by NYC Compost Project hosted by the LES Ecology Center.

No mask or vaccination requirement. The entire work-day will be outdoors.
