Calling Master Composter trainees to help bag compost destined for volunteer events across the five boroughs! Big Reuse is teaming up with LES Ecology Center in a special NYC Compost Project crossover event at the Queensbridge Compost Site. Gloves, tools, snacks, water, and non-stop groovy music will be provided. Mingling and dancing is encouraged!

This activity may involve some bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Wear closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Bring a reusable water bottle. Please let the organizers know if you need any accommodations.

Take the F train to 21st Street - Queensbridge. Exit the train and walk South on 21st street, under the highway, to Queens Plaza South. Take a right, and walk West 4 blocks to Vernon Ave. The entrance to the composting area is at the corner of Queens Plaza South and Vernon Ave., directly under the bridge and across from the Ravel hotel.
