The Compost Learning Center (CLC) is open to the public on Sundays during our open season.

Advanced volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of things supporting the center during its open hours:

• Animal Care

• Composting

• Sorting organic waste

• Interacting with Center visitors

• Assisting with public info sessions and workshops

Plan to be on the 10am Governors Island ferry at Battery Maritime Building, located at 10 South Street in Lower Manhattan and finish between 4:30 and 5pm at Earth Matter. There will be a break for lunch, you can purchase from one of the vendors on the Island or bring your own.
