Master Composter trainees will help in performing general site maintenance work and distributing free compost to community groups at the Rockaway Avenue Community Compost Site. General maintenance work may include removing weeds, mulching, and/or upkeeping of small compost bins. Trainees will get a chance to explore the compost site in its raw state, before it gets built out into a mid-scale composting facility. A surprise small token of appreciation will be given to trainees that attend!

Event led by NYC Compost Project hosted by the LES Ecology Center.

No mask or vaccination requirement. The entire work-day will be outdoors.
