Tabling: Master Composters will provide educational materials and share tips on composting in New York City.

Workshop/Workday: Master Composters will discuss with garden visitors what compost is and its benefits. We will also spend some time processing compost as needed.

Event led by NYC Compost Project Hosted by The New York Botanical Garden at Kingsbridge Heights Community Center.

In accordance with CDC, state, and local guidelines, face coverings are not required. Volunteers at NYBG are still required to provide proof of vaccination. Please keep in mind that many staff and visitors may continue to wear face coverings for a variety of reasons. If you are sick or symptomatic we ask you to visit on another day. We ask that you follow the same protocols while visiting community gardens as well.
