Join Ujamaa Garden and the NYBG Compost team as we prepare the garden for winter! Volunteers will help plant cover crops, apply compost tea, maintain the Juwel bin, weed beds, and remove debris. This workday will also include a conversation on best practices for working with soils impacted by lead and heavy metal contamination.

Access Notes: Ujamaa Garden has a flat entryway (no stairs) and wide, unpaved paths, and there is no bathroom on-site. Seating is available.
