Volunteer for the Compost and Farm Workday hosted by the LES Ecology Center compost team and Randall's Island Park Alliance urban farm team! The Randall’s Island Park Alliance’s Urban Farm is a 40,000 SF environmentally-sustainable garden and outdoor classroom. Master Composter trainees will learn how the farm's composting systems play a key role in soil health and sustainable gardening practices through several tasks, such as processing, turning, sifting, and other gardening tasks. Please note that this is an outdoor activity that involves active movement and lifting.
