Join the QBG Compost team in hosting their first Compost-Pa-Looza, a celebration of Queens composting & sustainability that elevates Queens community composting, while sharing soil and compost education to folks of all ages! Master Composters will help with set up, host various outreach and information tables, and break down of the event.
Because of the size of this event (we estimate that 1000-3000 people may attend), we will host a mandatory virtual orientation for Master Composter volunteers on Thursday, September 15th from 6:30-8pm, which will also count towards your volunteer hours. The orientation will train all MCs on the composting outreach and activities that they will be hosting at the event. Please note: you must attend the orientation in order to participate in volunteering for the event.
Masks required when indoors.
Event led by NYC Compost Project Hosted by Queens Botanical Garden.
Registration is required for participation in this event.
