Take a in-depth tour of Frank White Memorial Garden’s 30 year old HotBox Composting systems! Learn about the compost leaders who designed it and why the construction has withstood the test of time. Please note that a volunteer activity will be held at the same location between 2-3pm where trainees will get to work closely with the system and help site managers and youth process their food scraps!

Event led by NYC Compost Project hosted by the LES Ecology Center in partnership with The Brotherhood Sister Sol and Open Road of NY.

Participants must sign in (if going into the building) and wear a mask when indoors.
